During the June volunteer meeting and dinner in Joplin, we said a heartfelt goodbye to longtime volunteer Carol Miller. Carol will be retiring after 30 years of service with the American Red Cross. She was also presented with her 30 years of service pin during the evening as well.

Carol is pictured with Teri Layton — AmeriCorps Recruitment and Presence Specialist with the American Red Cross of Southern Missouri, Joplin office. Teri stated that Carol will be missed as she has provided numerous years with the Joplin office and has created a number of friends during her years of service. Our congratulations go out to Carol as she may be retiring but will not be forgotten.

Also on this day, Carol and her husband Don celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
