Earning your Mission Points

MissionHave you entered your Mission Points today? For that matter, have you put in your points for the last few months?

This is your chance to be recognized for the hours of volunteer work you do for the American Red Cross. I am excited by this chance to give all volunteers with the Southern Missouri Region an additional chance to be honored.

Mission Points will be given for all of the things you do in our community as you help to prevent, prepare for, respond to and be resilient to emergencies. You can earn points for attending a volunteer meeting, logging your volunteer hours, going on a disaster deployment or taking a Red Cross course among others.

We have had over 200 people submit Mission Points, and have over 1,000 points logged for the region so far! Points will be uploaded for July-December by the end of January. You can view your points by going to your account in Volunteer Connection and to My Profile -> ARC Qualifications -> Awards.

To get started, please log in to your Volunteer Connection account online at volunteerconnection.redcross.org to add Mission Points and Volunteer Hours.

Those with the highest points will be recognized during National Volunteer Week in April. For more information please see Volunteer Connection (under the My Chapter tab of your account) or contact the Volunteer Services representative in your area.

Kristofer “Luke” Bolz is the Regional Director for Volunteer Services in the Southern Missouri Region of the American Red cross.
