South Central Area Response Time Reduced

With Four New Mass Care Trailers

American Red Cross Greater Ozarks Region, 10/20/2011-

The Greater Ozarks Region is excited to share with you some information
affecting our ability to respond to our local communities! Through funds
from the Regional Homeland Security Oversight Committee, The Red Cross
has purchased 4 new Mass Care Shelter Trailers.

The Trailers are stocked with 100 cots, 200 blankets, 100 pillows, and a
shelter kit. “This decreases our response time to open a shelter during
disasters dramatically, by having supplies prepositioned in each county.
The new trailers are being placed in Reynolds, Oregon, Wright, and
Douglas with trailers already in Carter, Texas and Howell,” states JJ
Travis Emergency Services Director for The South Central Missouri Area.

To activate the Shelter Trailer please call JJ Travis Emergency Services
Director for South Central Missouri at 573-707-4029 or Renee Horne
Emergency Services Director for Reynolds County at (573) 648-2494.
