I just want to brag on three of our Nevada volunteers. About a week ago we received a call from the Vernon County Sheriff’s office and they needed a canteen set up as they were searching for a missing person. Valorie Mead, Mike Headley and Lloyd Gibson headed out, bought supplies, took water and powerade and were on scene until midnight. It was also very hot and they were appreciated for all they did. The next morning very early Mike and Lloyd set up a canteen for the disaster drill which was already planned. Once again it was extremely hot and they were on scene for about 5 hours. The following Saturday Lloyd, Geri Mcinroy, and Kris Korb once again endured the heat and set up a canteen to serve 10 apartment residents who had lost power. Needless to say it was a busy week. I am so proud of our volunteers for all they do and I know Vernon County feels the same.
